The news this week again highlighted Ferguson, Missouri as new riots and protests broke loose. In response, a “state of emergency” was declared. People need to wake up and realize what is really going on is martial law is now being routinely declared. Disturbingly, people are being conditioned to accept imposition of martial law as a legitimate response to everything from a snowstorm to a lawful protest. Just like martial law, these states of emergency are being used to unlawfully justify a suspension of the Bill of Rights and to disarm the public.
If anyone had any doubts about the government’s intent to suspend civil rights during martial law/state of emergency, look no further than Ferguson. The government is using the presence of armed private security, requested by business owners left helpless by the government, as an excuse to ban firearms during these states of emergency. This situation echoes the unconstitutional abuses that occurred at the hands of government forces after Hurricane Katrina. As many media outlets reported (See: http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2015/08/11/who-are-the-oath-keepers-and-why-has-the-armed-group-returned-to-ferguson/) it is clear that the police and government view anyone trying to protect their own lives, families, homes, and businesses via the lawful open carry of weapons as the bad guys. St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar went so far as to say “Their presence was both unnecessary and inflammatory” and that they were working with the “prosecuting attorney’s office” to see if they could bring charges against these brave citizens. As news broke last night that Officer Darren Wilson would not be indicted by a grand jury, events unfolded as I warned. Legitimate, peaceful protests were hijacked by a host of unsavory groups to included anarchists and domestic terrorist organizations like the New Black Panther Party. The New Black Panther Party is racist terrorist organization whose members were planning to carry out a Boston Marathon style bombing of the Ferguson protests (see: http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/11/22/us-usa-missouri-shooting-explosives-idUSKCN0J602N20141122), which could have maimed and killed dozens of people. As predicted, the protests provided cover for this mob of anarchists, domestic terrorists, and criminals to congregate and then begin to riot. As the sun rose today over Ferguson, the damage was clear. Entire blocks were burned to the ground, cars were destroyed, stores were looted, citizens were assaulted, and in general, all hell had broken loose. So where is the success in Fergusson you ask? What really happened and who is right in the on-going social unrest in Ferguson, Missouri that began after an unarmed black man was shot by a police officer? However, it is clear that no matter whether or not the grand jury returns an indictment against the officer involved in the shooting, many will feel an injustice has been committed. Ferguson has already endured more than its share of mob violence. If protestors want to vent their anger, they should properly focus their aggression against the police, judges, and politicians, but not local residents and businesses. Further, when protestors target innocent bystanders for simply being “white,” they completely undermine their stated grounds for grievance (see links at bottom). If race was truly at the root of the Brown shooting, attacking whites, or any innocent person, demonstrates a complete hypocrisy of logic and turns legitimate protestors into a mob. Acting like a mob gives the police a legitimate justification to harshly crack down on any protests and only spurs more violence. A well-organized protest should be smart about this and not give the police any justification for the use of harsh crowd control tactics and be cognizant of optics created by the protestors. Wanton violence does not win the support of the public and only bolsters the state’s argument for heavy handed actions none of us want. However, in light of the very public calls for violence if the grand jury doesn’t indict the officer as demanded by the mob, we can safely predict in that event protests will quickly descend into mob violence and rioting.
The police are preparing for this contingency and no doubt will respond in force. The police have found that they can do little to protect the businesses and residents from rioting mobs and at best try to arrest the most egregious of actors. This has left business and residents of all races in Ferguson paralyzed by the continuing violence. In Ferguson, the only places spared by the mob were people who took up arms and organized to defend their lives and property and the wealthy able to pay for contract security. Clearly we all can’t afford private security, so we are organizing to provide volunteer security services for citizens in need. In anticipation of the grand jury announcement and possible violence, LMS is establishing a special response team made up of citizens unwilling to allow innocent people to become victims and our cities to burn. The events leading up to the shooting death of an 18 year old man in Fergusson by a police officer are under investigation and the “facts” appear to be conflicting. What are not in doubt are the events that transpired after the shooting. Citizens genuinely concerned and outraged wanting a full and impartial investigation rose up in peaceful, legitimate protests, but so did the most criminal elements within our society. It appears that not only was the race baiting, rabble rousers such as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton ready to pounce and exploit this shooting, but so were many hoodlums that exploited the protests to rob, loot, and destroy. The media was right on their heels to cover the ratings generating violence and President Obama wasted no time wading into what can only be considered divisive racial politics his track record suggests he favors stoking. However, as prepared citizens, what really should concern us is at least two-fold and goes far beyond the distractive on-going racial narrative from Missouri. Read more
Are you prepared for the “Day of Rage?”
Tomorrow, Friday July 15th has been announced as a “day of rage” to protest perceived social injustices across the nation. Most major metropolitan areas have been identified as areas targeted by possible protests. Now, just because a day of rage is called for online, it doesn’t mean anyone will turn out. However, based on past Black Lives Matter (BLM) events that turned violent, it would be wise to take precautions out of an abundance of caution. So what should you do if you happen to live, work, or pass through these named areas?
I have written many pieces over the years explaining how to prepare for the mobs rioting and burning our cities during times of social unrest. Per my piece in June, I detailed how to defend against fire, which may be your most pressing threat during a riot. (See: http://www.lastminutesurvival.com/2016/06/06/how-to-protect-your-home-from-rioting-mobs-using-fire-as-a-weapon/ ) I also have discussed in detail how to organize your community into a common defense since private citizens, NOT law enforcement have proven time and again to be your best defense for life and property against the mob. (See stories listed at: http://www.lastminutesurvival.com/?s=ferguson) For extremely bad situations, we have also put together the Civilian Response Force composed of volunteer citizens from across to the nation willing to help those located in high threat or disaster areas. (See: http://www.lastminutesurvival.com/2015/01/21/lms-civilian-response-team-ferguson-conundrum-solved-by-community-security/) All of these articles present a coherent comprehensive strategy for the defense of you and your community and should be reviewed in detail.
Specific to those needing to make “last minute” preparations for tomorrow’s planned “day of rage” touted as a “peaceful” event, I would recommend the following.
Family: Get any non-essential family members out of the danger area. If you can, have them stay with family or friends until you know it is safe to return. Before parting ways, make sure everyone knows your plan in the event you need to bug out and ensure that includes a “no-comms” plan.
Fire: Go to Costco or similar store and make a bulk purchase of fire extinguishers. Chemical extinguishers that work on gasoline/petroleum and electrical fires are optimum. Place these extinguishers in easy to access locations close to any windows and doors of your home and on all levels of your home. If you have any combustible material around your house, remove it. Be especially vigilant to get rid of gas cans and such in easily accessible locations like sheds and outbuildings that a rioting mob could easily access.
Preparations for Defense: Prep your kit for either bugging out or the defense. Weapons, ammunition, and any other associated items like body armor should be staged and ready if the situation deteriorates and dictates the need to defend your home and family. If the situation becomes hopeless (block is engulfed in fire, overrun, etc.) be prepared to bug out. Have a go bag staged and multiple evacuation routes and options ready for execution. Make sure you let at least one other trusted person know your whereabouts and plans should you need to execute a bug out.
Medical: Inventory, update, prep, and stage any medical equipment you have or intend to use in a casualty collection point. This should be somewhere safe in your home and could be a safe room, basement, or internal room with no windows and doors. The most critical items such as tourniquets should be staged and at the ready.
Vehicles: Any vehicles that you cannot store inside a locked garage should be driven and stored outside of the area of disorder. Vehicles left along streets are likely to be vandalized, stolen, or torched during riots. If you chose to keep a vehicle at your residence, make sure it is prepared to be used to bug out on short order. That means any tools, extraction equipment, and hardening should be complete. Any maintenance should be done. Make sure the vehicle is fully gassed. Also make sure your spare tire(s) are easily accessible and your tire change equipment is staged if you don’t use run flat tires.
Community: Now is a good time to coordinate your plans with likeminded individuals in your neighborhood. Optimally, there are at least a few other people on your block that will be prepared and ready to react if your area is targeted by the mob. Have a plan to communicate, react, and provide mutual support. If you are short on manpower, access your prepper network for friends from out of town willing to come into town and establish security at and around your home. Respective of the rest of the neighborhood, assume they are sympathetic to other causes and even possibly hostile to anyone bearing arms in defense of their homes and family so keep a low profile unless the situation dictates.
Travel/Business: If you do not live in said high threat area, but must travel through it or work in the immediate area, you must also take precautions. Make sure you have your bug out bag with you and your primary, alternative, and emergency evacuation plans are made and ready to execute. Monitor the radio for signs of trouble and have your cell phone with a backup battery ready. Make sure you dress appropriately and assume you may have to move miles on foot.
Be safe by being prepared.

How to protect your home from rioting mobs using fire as a weapon

As the presidential political landscape takes shape, even a passive observer can tell it is looking like a violent year. I have been taking careful notes on these developments and it should have you worried if you live in an urban area. In particular, it has caused me to review preparations to counter fire dangers. I have seen firsthand how fire can be used as a weapon either intentionally or inadvertently and it has awesome destructive force. More specifically, in an urban setting, out of control fires can quickly spread and consume entire blocks in firestorms. Now, think about your home. How well is it protected and how prepared are you if fire is used directly or indirectly against your home? More specifically, if the fire department can’t or won’t respond to your home because of riots and anarchy, will you be able to prevent fire from destroying it?
If you are like most people, you never put much thought into the question I pose. If not, now is the time. It is especially important if you live in an urban area and your home is connected or a part of other buildings. Part II: The Gun Ban is Announced
Last night I spoke of how to resist encroaching gun control laws and regulation. However, I admitted that we are fighting a rigged game and that I fully expect to see a gun ban in the near future. As this ban goes into effect, you can expect to see it follow a set pattern. However, unlike other countries around the world to include Australia, Canada, and the U.K., the US will not follow the script, which I will discuss in “Part III: Resistance.” In short, gun confiscation means major chaos is in the future for the US. Unfortunately, I don’t think this is avoidable at this point so it is best to spend your time preparing. Here is how you can expect it to play out.
The march toward total gun confiscation in the US has been a gradual one. It hasn’t been an easy fight and has been resisted the entire way by sensible Americans. In fact, recently, the pro-gun lobby has won numerous major successes in court. Nonetheless, today we are still standing on the edge of the gun ban cliff and looking into the abyss as a free nation. Taking stock of the situation, we must recognize some hard facts working in favor of the elitist cabal dedicated to your total disarmament. The ballot boxes have been stacked by illegitimate voters, the system to include judges and educators is now filled with Leftist operatives, the latest generation to come of age has been brainwashed to view all guns as evil, our population has lost its morality, and we no longer collectively view an armed populace as a necessary element of a free state. As bad, the majority of our population is constantly is some state of drug induced mental paralysis whether by illegal drugs such as heroin and marijuana or legal drugs such as alcohol and anti-depressants. This mass sedation makes the population far easier to manipulate, control, and ultimately convince to willingly enter oppression and slavery. We are so close to a gun ban that if only a handful of seats change hands in the House and Senate an avalanche of new gun control legislation to include the UN’s Gun Ban Treaty will move forward. Further, it is probable that even with a Republican controlled Congress they will still sell out their constituents and side with elitist interests by embracing gun control. To illustrate this point, remember Mitt Romney had a far worse record of gun control than even Bill Clinton. As such, don’t be surprised when another major “mass shooting” event is staged and used to justify the final push to ban firearms in the US irrespective of who “controls” Congress and sits in the White House.
When the order is given for Americans to disarm and turn in their weapons, it will come in phases just like it has occurred repeatedly in other countries. Read more

Once again, the evidence is overwhelming that government orchestrated civil disorder led to the destruction of large parts of Baltimore. Again, like in Ferguson, the “dog whistles” of the American Left have signaled it was justified to burn, to destroy, to loot, to assault, and to vandalize. These rioters, not the protestors, were by and large scum and certainly presented the image of a career criminal class living on welfare unleashed on society. If any of the rioters find that assessment offensive, then perhaps you shouldn’t act and look like a heathen.
Post riots, the violence in Baltimore has skyrocketed while the police claim they have been undermined and cannot do their job. I certainly will side with the police over what I witnessed rioting, but for them to intentionally disengage in protest is a dereliction of duty. I am sorry some (possibly good cops), got wrapped up in what appears to be a politically motivated knee jerk reaction, but then, when someone gets their neck broke and you are the only one around, the average person would expect to be arrested. If the Baltimore Police have become so accustomed to killing people with no consequences that this comes as a shock, then perhaps it was a necessary overreaction by the prosecuting attorney. Either way, I won’t accept thug rule any more than an utterly corrupt police department with the nerve to refuse service. Allowing gang rule to “punish” the citizens, while still collecting pay checks is despicable and has no honor in it. I do empathize with the police and believe in law and order, but they cannot act as though they had no role to play in the chaos that has plagued Baltimore. Read more

Having studied successful political movements and revolutions globally, the historical precedent for requiring foreign support is sound. In fact, if one has studied the history of the American Revolution, one will quickly realize just how integrally linked the liberty movement is with foreign support. We like to think we alone whipped the British, but it was the French intervention that sealed the final defeat of General Cornwallis’ British Army at Yorktown, Virginia. We respect the rule of law, but recognize the inherit inability for police to protect individuals during episodes of large scale social unrest. Putin versus Obama Part I: Are they really so different?
Much of the rhetoric behind the push to create a new Cold War centers on Russian President Vladimir Putin. The complicit media and the Obama Administration have pulled no punches in smearing President Putin and casting him as the most evil of tyrants and a political thug imprisoning opposition, seizing assets, enriching himself on the government’s dime, and intimidating reporters and political dissidents. In fact, much of this is probably true; however, before we cast the first stone and judge Putin as evil incarnate and start World War III, perhaps some national retrospection of our own actions and character would be in order.
